There is one man who epitomises Nottingham above all else — and we’ll follow hot on his trail through the city that made him a legend.
Join us for an unforgettable journey through the heart of Nottingham, led by none other than Little John himself. Together, we’ll walk in the footsteps of Robin Hood and the Merry Men, uncovering the truth behind the tales of outlaw justice, rebellion, and survival.
Our story begins at the mighty Nottingham Castle — once a stronghold of kings and tyrants — before winding through the city’s historic core, including the famous Lace Market district, where wealth was woven into fabric, and fortunes rose and fell.
But Nottingham holds more than just tales of the surface. Beneath the cobbled streets lies a vast underworld — nearly 1,000 caves form the City of Caves. Used for shelter, punishment, and protection, we’ll descend underground to discover air-raid bunkers from WW2, hidden cellars, and ancient dwellings carved by hand.
Along the way, you’ll hear tales of the wicked Sheriff of Nottingham, the clever resistance of common folk, and the darker truths often left out of history books — including where public executions took place.
We finish with a drink fit for outlaws, at what is possibly the oldest pub in Britain — Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem — carved into the sandstone beneath the castle and once frequented by crusaders heading south.
It’s a tour full of grit, wit, and legendary spirit — and Nottingham has never felt more alive.
